A spin-½ state lives on the unit sphere: north = |↑⟩, south = |↓⟩, equator = equal-weight superpositions with relative phase running 0 → 2π around the circle. Pauli operators rotate the arrow; the Hamiltonian Ĥ = -ωσ̂z/2 precesses it.
